Kelly Almon is a native of the Pacific Northwest, but moved to the San Francisco Bay Area for the sun and the scene. For now, she makes her home in the heart of Silicon Valley with her husband, Mambwe. An ardent traveler, she is looking for her next project to take her on a new adventure.
Crafting enjoyable user experiences is more than a profession for Kelly, it is an obsession. She focuses especially on non-consumer spaces, employee-facing systems, and tools in the business, management, and medical fields. Just because a user base is required to use a tool doesn't mean there isn't significant benefit to making that experience better, for both the employee and the business. Kelly graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a degree in Visual Communication, but while graphic design is close, it was no cigar. She proceeded immediately to grad school at the University of Washington where she found her true calling - Interaction Design. Since then, her work has moved her across the US and back, and taken her all over the world. Traveling has become a passion of hers, which she indulges in as often as possible. One of her many goals is to see as much of the world as is humanly possible. She also enjoys painting, crochet, cats, and table top games. |
